The Donnersberg dominates the Pfälzer Bergland with its wide hills, castles and the trolley line. The Rhine plain is characterized by primeval old Rhine landscape and fertile fields. Whether by bike or car - it's only a few kilometers to 'over there'...

Just 'across the Rhine' lies the cathedral city of Speyer, only 10 kilometers from SeeHotel, our gateway to the Palatinate. Speyer Cathedral can be spotted from afar and is the world's largest surviving Romanesque church; it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. Close to the city center, there is also the Museum of Technology, which exhibits a large number of technical masterpieces, especially from vehicle and aircraft construction, delighting young and old alike.
