The historic circuit is not only known as an exciting event location for Formula 1, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, NitrOlympX & Co. Here you can actively experience exciting formats around horsepower and bold technology. Slowing down everyday life with racetrack sightseeing? With action and fun around racing taxi, drift training and karting track speeding up the kick-off at the lake ? SeeHotel is only six kilometres away from the Hockenheimring, and a visit is a highlight, not only for motorsport fans.
Music and culture, castle garden and asparagus metropolis, leisure and enjoyment – Schwetzingen is a city with many facets. In the heart of the city, the castle complex with its magnificent garden unfolds over an area of more than 72 hectares. The castle garden with its water games and fountains, the magnificent mosque, the pavilions, temples and sculptures is ideal for a day trip. And since Schwetzingen is directly adjacent to Ketsch, also perfect for a trip by bike or even on foot.
Riding with the cable car up to Heidelberg Castle, standing on the Old Bridge, marvelling at the imposing panorama, exploring the narrow alleys of the old town on foot, sailing up and down the Neckar… Heidelberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany from every perspective and very close from us – only 18 kilometres to the city centre.
Just ‘over the Rhine’ lies the cathedral city of Speyer, only 10 kilometers from the SeeHotel, our gateway to the Palatinate. The cathedral of Speyer can already be discovered from a distance and is the world’s largest surviving Romanesque church, since 1981 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Close to the city centre there is also the Museum of Technology, which exhibits a large number of technical masterpieces, especially from the automotive and aircraft construction, that delights young and old alike alike.
Modern, baroque, urban and surprisingly green – where the Neckar and the Rhine converge, urbanity, culture and nature blur into an extraordinary mix. Mannheim offers a real metropolitan feeling, and for an extended shopping day, the square city is a real insider tip. The city centre is 19 kilometres away.
Alone, as a couple, in a group or with the family – the Palatinate always has season. On the Deutsche Weinstraße, idyllic villages, modern wine shops and quaint wine bars invite you to enjoy local wines and delicacies. The Pfälzerwald offers countless opportunities for hiking and mountain biking with sandstone rocks, castles and huts for refreshments. The Donnersberg dominates the Palatinate Mountains with its wide hills, castles and the Draisine route. The Rhine plain is characterized by the original Old Rhine landscape and fertile fields.
